Lemon Dessert Sauce

Makes 3 cups
This Sweet Lemon Sauce is incredibly versatile! Here are a few menu ideas:
Drizzle over cheesecake for a bright citrus contrast
Pour onto pound cake or angel food cake for a refreshing finish
Spoon over pancakes, waffles, or French toast
Serve with scones or biscuits as a sweet spread
Dip fresh strawberries, blueberries, or melon
Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons Argo® Corn Starch
1/3 cup Karo® Light Corn Syrup
1 cup milk
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon lemon zest
2 tablespoons butter
Directions

Add the sugar and corn starch to a saucepan and whisk to combine. Add the corn syrup, milk, lemon juice and lemon zest. Cook on medium heat stirring occasionally until it’s reached a boil. When thickened, remove from the heat and stir in the butter until melted. Makes 3 cups.

Note: Can add yellow food coloring at the end for a brighter yellow color.
