When you are feeling congested and under the weather try starting your day with a steamy hot shower and a powerful dose of peppermint! These shower melts will help clear your sinuses and get your day off to better start.
Storage:
store away from moisture, in an airtight container, keep for a month
Ingredients
3/4 cup Argo® Corn Starch
1/2 cup baking soda
4 tablespoons Karo® Light Corn Syrup
1-2 tablespoons peppermint extract (can also use peppermint or eucalyptus essential oils)
1 tablespoon water, plus more if needed
6 drops green food coloring (optional)

Equipment:
a mixing bowl
silicone ice cube tray/mold
Directions

Mix wet ingredients together, add to dry ingredients mixing well. Squeeze the mixture, it should hold together on its own, if it doesn’t stick together add a teaspoon more water at a time as needed until it holds a shape when squeezed. Don’t make it too wet that it runs through your fingers, add a bit more cornstarch if this happens.  Press into your molds. Allow to dry overnight before removing.

Will easily store up to one month in an airtight container or jar. Keep near your shower so they are ready to use when you need them!

**TIP** If you want an even bigger boost of peppermint double the extract to 2 tablespoons. You may need to reduce the amount of water if so. Try adding the water by the teaspoon instead, you want the mixture just wet enough to hold together.
