Delicious and gluten-free!
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Combine sugar and corn starch in medium bowl. Whisk in eggs. Stir in butter, corn syrup, milk and vanilla. Fold in apples. Divide evenly between 2 pie crusts. Note: if using frozen crusts, these do not need to be thawed.
Sprinkle each pie with 2 tablespoons walnuts, if desired. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until center of pie is set. Cool on wire rack. Refrigerate.
Recipe Note: Almond milk may be substituted for milk.
** Gluten-free pie crusts are available frozen in many larger grocery stores or in specialty shops.
